Do you see what I see??

I am sure you do!! My pregnancy ticker says I have only 66 days left until July 3rd!!! WOW!!!

For many people they tell me that it seems like this pregnancy has flown by, but that is not so much the case for me. Since the day in October I found out I was expecting, everything has crawled at the slowest slug type pace. However, I have truly enjoyed all of it. I have had my share of complications being pregnant, but would not change it for the world. Initially, we dealt with making sure my meds for my heart are ok. Then we dealt with me having a blood clot or DVT. This has been a doozy for me. Due to the clot I give myself 2 shots a day and wear TED hose. Yep, not very fun at all but definitely worth it in the end.

As I am now in the last lap of this 40 weeks race, I feel almost every emotion possible. I am so ready to meet her, hold her, love her, kiss her, etc. However, I am scared of what is to come, scared of how good of a mother I will be, scared of not making the right choices. I am also sad because for almost 31 weeks now, she has been inside me. I know she is technically mine and Kevin's baby girl, but she has lived in me! I have felt her every move and I have come to love her so much it is indescribable. I am sad in a way that I am going to have to share her with other people. I know it sounds silly, but it is what it is.

During this pregnancy I have learned alot about myself and being pregnant.
1.) I have learned that I can tolerate more than I though I could.
2.) I have learned that I do not miss cold sandwich meat.
3.) I have learned that I do miss being able to see my toes when I stand up.
4.) I have learned that Tylenol is more like a Tic Tac than medicine.
5.) I have learned that I do not have the crazy cravings and hope not to.
6.) I have learned that not everyone is the same during pregnancy.
7.) I have learned that it is a weird and crazy feeling when the baby moves inside of you,
but it is the best thus far!!
8.) I have learned that baby stuff is way expensive.
9.) I have learned that despite my moodiness and hatefulness, my husband is the best!!!!
10.) I have learned Karoline likes me to be on my side, or she kicks alot then.
11.) I have also learned at almost 31 weeks, I do not get up to pee at night! =)

Now I have vented somewhat, I will show you some pictures of my sweet Karoline's room!!

And the gender is.....

Our little baby we have been waiting on for so long finally showed us what they are. My sweet little baby is a GIRL!!! We are so excited!!!!! Her name will be Karoline Grace Byrd. Everything on her look fine and she was moving all around. I am now 23 weeks today as I write this. She is definately moving about in there. I can't wait until the day she is born so I can hold her and love on her. These next weeks wil hopefully fly by as we begin to work on her room and prepare for her big arrival.

Tis it a boy or a girl?

So, on my last OB visit the Dr. scheduled an ultrasound this time to determine the sex. I am only 16 weeks and 3 days, but he said we should def. be able to tell. so, needless to say I got VERY excited and anxious.

The day arrived today. I get to the Dr and he looks at the paperwork and says " Your to early to have this done." UGH!!! Shot me down quick. So, he listens to the heartbeat, which is hard to find. He tells me that he thinks the baby is breech. Finally he finds the heartbeat up high. he also tells me my uterus has grown quite bit. Seriously??!

Anywho, since he scheduled the ultrasound he let me do it. The tech said if she could tell she would. the ultrasound lasted for like almost 10 minutes. The little booger is breech. They said it should turn, and I am hoping it does. We saw it moving and jumping everywhere. The arms, legs, and all facial features were there. But....the little one was sitting on its butt and had its legs crossed. Showing the goods??? Out of the question! We could not get it to move at all. The baby would move one leg and then the other, but not both. So....we shall wait! Here are two pics to enjoy!

Thank You Mama!!!

So.....

It is seriously almost Christmas time!!! Wow!!! I think we have like 16 days!! I can't believe the end of this year is almost here. As I sit here on this rainy day, I begin to think where this year has taken me. I never really realized how much has changed in 1 year. For example: I am now an expecting mother!!! Woo Hoo!!! Finally at the ripe old age of 27!! Also, I have changed jobs, my best friend has welcomed a precious baby girl into this world, we have made changes in our house, etc.

One thing that I am truly blessed for this year is my mother. Now, I love my daddy as well, but this year really tested my mom. In February, she was hospitalized for strep-pneumonia. She was on a ventilator to breath for 15 days. She was altogether hospitalized for 23. We almost lost her several times and those days were the longest days of my life!!!! I don't know if you realize it or not, but my mama is very important to me. After dealing with the initial shock of my mom being so sick and then having the Dr. come in and say we could lose her, my world flipped. WHAT?? I am only 26 and I need my mama!! I have so many things I want to tell her, so many things I want to experience with her.

This experience really had me praying to God. I went to the chapel and got down on my knees and prayed to God!! I told him over and over again, please do not think I am selfish, but God I got to have my mama!!!! Everyday and every chance we all had we were at that hospital!! Never ever did we give up hope. To spare the details, I seen and witnessed things there I will never ever forget!! Within all this I learned that those we love the most at times we take advantage of. I also hope and pray that when my baby arrives I can be half the mom to it that mine has been to me!!

This year has changed me. I am so thankful for my mama!! I am also thankful for everyone else around me. It is amazing how only 365 days of life have made an impact on me forever. I cannot wait to see what 2009 has in store for me!

So.....guess what this is??? It is our little gummy bear!!! I started some bleeding yesterday and they asked me to come in. I was very willing since I was sort of freaking out. We got an ultrasound done and it was amazing!! I am 7 weeks and 5 days. However, the ultrasound had the baby measuring at 8 weeks and 1 day. This put my due date around July 1st. So we shall see. The heartbeat was 156. Seeing my baby and hearing the heart beat was the best thing ever. Everything seems real now. I am still on cloud 9! The ultrasound tech kept calling it a "he" and our little gummy bear. She said that is about what it looks like now. We'll I love my little gummy bear and I am very excited to see it!!!

So.... I am going to be a mommy!!! Kevin and I are going to be parents. We initially were told we were due June 25th. However, now the Dr. said we are due July 3rd. Either way or whatever date is fine with me. We are both so very excited. We went for an ultrasound last Tuesday and everything was fine. We didnt get to see much since I am still a little early. I go back November 26th!! I can't wait!!!
